Finding the right Marriage Celebrant

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life.

Choosing the right marriage celebrant will ensure that your day is a memorable one.

You should ensure that your proposed celebrant is authorised as a marriage celebrant under the Marriage Act 1961 by checking the list of authorised marriage celebrants www.ag.gov.au

Getting Started

I have been an authorised celebrant since 2005. I am based in Bundaberg and happy to travel throughout the Wide Bay Burnett Region, Queensland and Australia to perform your ceremony.

It is your day, so you set the trend with the appropriate standard of dress – formal, informal etc.

You are able to determine the content for your ceremony from a wide variety of sources, be creative. – contemplate theme weddings such as Tropical, Gangster, Friday 13th, Medieval, Celtic (I have ceremonies available), Harley-Davidson, etc.

Music can vary from simple portable CD players, and solo artists to fifteen piece bands; including guest speakers (preferably experienced). You are only limited by your imagination.

I usually provide 6 copies of your ceremony as a Ceremony Handbook.

This is particularly useful where you have guest speakers who need to be familiar with their presentation and the program.

Also to enable you to provide a memento for your bridal party and if you choose, to place the ceremony in your wedding album.

You are welcome to photo copy this hand book, for mementos for your guests, or additional copies are available upon negotiation.

I usually provide a collapsible card table, table cloth and fold-up chair – unless you make other arrangements.

I can also provide a portable PA system for the ceremony, which includes a microphone, access to a CD player to enable you to include music in your ceremony if you choose.

I suggest you check your preferred venue at much the same time and day of the week that you intend to get married, so as to determine the fall of the shade, interference from pathway and road traffic noise, water fountains, sporting events (including jet ski and water ski activities), concerts etc.
